Kite flying at Marina Barrage

The lab recently spent an afternoon at Marina Barrage enjoying some time outdoors and flying kites together. Jon managed to get his kite so high it looked like he was trying to reach the moon. We also had plenty of food to go around: Jean Sebastian (with help from sous chefs Seeu Si and Amy) made a feta and bell pepper cake and a fig and frangipane tart with pistachios and powdered sugar. Alongside that, we shared a mix of traditional sweets from different countries. It was a simple, relaxed break from the lab and a nice chance to be out in nature whilst overlooking the Singapore cityscape.

Is it a bird, is it a plane…no it’s Jon’s really really high kite

Thank you to Cherry and Yukkei for organising such a fun afternoon and all of the lab for attending.
